Floater Frames

Unlike typical frames that have rabbets to hold the art and glazing in place, "Floater Frames" are designed to step the edge of the frame away from a stretched canvas, reveiling the painting's edges. In this instence, the edges of the canvas were taped with black fabric tape prior to being set in the Floater Frame. The Floater Frame is attached to the back of the canvas stretcher bars.
