Cut Art Mats

Cut Art Mats are created from a combination of mat windows and Wizard Cut Art. We can create a simple rectangle and add cut art shapes, or we can create something more elaborate for you by blending the cut art and a window shape together as in the gymnast photo shown here.

Pricing is for per mat layer and includes one cut art element. V-Grooves or Wizard window templates are $10. extra. Choose from hundreds of cut art shapes to make a truly unique mat! We don't include a shopping cart for our mats because each mat is a unique creation. Instead, we invite you to send us an e-mail or give us a call in Berkeley, California at (510) 849-4444. We'll find out exactly what you have in mind, and we will design and cut your mat to order. We can usually ship within 2-3 working days.

When you call or write, please have the following information ready:

  • What is the image size of your art or photo?
  • What size will the window of your mat be?
  • What will the overall or outside size of your mat be?
  • Which cut art shapes would you like to incorporate in your mat?
  • What colors woudl you like?

Remember, we are here to help you with all your design choices! If you are not sure how to configure your cut art mat, we will help you with your design and suggest a layout. We can help you on the phone or by email. Mats and frames can be shipped directly to you, or ordered and picked up at our store.

If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area we suggest a visit to our do-it-yourself and custom frame shop in Berkeley to see over 2000 frame samples and hundreds of mat colors. We will help you lay out your design and we can often cut your mats and frames while you wait. We love working with unusual projects!
