Art Services: Local Galleries

These shops, galleries, and associations showcase local talent in the East Bay. All are wonderful sources for the art of emerging and established artists from The Bay Area and beyond.

Bekris Gallery:
Presenting contemporary artists from Africa, Oceania and the Americas. Bekris Gallery was founded to introduce artists from the southern hemisphere to American audiences in order to encourage a vital dialogue among American vewers and artists working internationally.

Craftsman Home:
This shop is the source for Arts & Crafts accessories, furniture, & fine art. Be sure to see their impressive collection of prints by Kathleen West and original paintings by Jack Cassinetto, Dan McCormick, and James Armstrong.

Afikomen:
Celebrations Ketubah Gallery, the best Ketubah Collection in the Bay Area! This little shop is a gem.

El Cerrito Art Association:
The El Cerrito Art Association holds monthly meetings and hosts a yearly art show in April. They have a small gallery in the El Cerrito Community Center and new members are welcome.

The Berkeley Art Center:
The Berkeley Art Center represents and supports the diversity of the Bay Area region with exhibitions and other cultural events in a broad range of disciplines. Their lovely gallery in Live Oak Park is worth a visit.

Richmond Art Center:
The Richmond Art Center inspires active engagement
in the visual arts through exhibitions, education, and
in-school programs as the San Francisco Bay Area's
longest established art center.

ACCI Gallery (Arts & Crafts Cooperative):
The Arts and Crafts Cooperative has served the needs of local artists and art lovers since the 1950s.  Visit their gallery on Shattuck Avenue for an ever changing visual treat.

Terrestra:
This shop in Walnut Square features art from many parts of the world. We love the emphasis on bold contemporary design throughout the shop.
