In the Spring of 1939, with war against Germany on the horizon, and the country upon the outbreak of war, the posters were intended to offer the public reassurance in the difficult days ahead. Using the crown of King George as the only graphic element, several posters were designed bearing different slogans. Few of the Keep Calm version actually made it onto subway walls because theywere held back for use during times of extreme crisis. Fifty years later, the Keep Calm version surfaced in a London book shop where the owners had it reprinted. Since then it has become a worldwide best seller and an inspiration during difficult times. The original Keep Calm and Carry On posters were red with white text. We have a few in other colors as well. U.S. Distribution:
