We are pleased to introduce the work of Michal Meron. We came upon her small gallery in the old Jewish Ghetto in Venice during a recent trip to Italy. We thought our Bay Area clients would appreciate her blend of primitivism and traditional Jewish subjects. Meron was born in Haifa and educated in Vienna. Her work has been exhibited worldwide.

Meron's paintings are in the 'naive' tradition, full of action, exuberant life and color. Her dense compositions depict various Jewish festivals while referencing the complexity of their ‘old European’ settings. Her work combines artistry of a very high standard with educational interest, illuminating aspects of the origins, traditions, and contemporary celebration of the chosen days. The signed and numbered limited edition giclées are printed on canvas and embellished by the artist with a final overlay of gold foil. Michal Meron's prints are available as prints and as limited edition giclees on canvas.

Meron lives in Israel and in Italy. Her paintings are on permanent display at The Studio in Old Jaffa, Isreal, and at Studio Michal Meron in the old Jewish Ghetto in Venice. We will be pleased to order any of Meron's images for you.
