The Framer's Workshop has over 300 samples of in-stock, metal, and wood frame moulding, as well as over 200 acid free mat colors to choose from. We also have one of the largest displays of special order frame moulding and mat samples you will find in the San Francisco Bay Area.

With your budget in mind, we give you expert esthetic and technical guidance. Our friendly staff will help you select a framing design that will complement and preserve your art while working with your existing decor.

The design process can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or more depending on how many pieces you have and how complex the design job is.

In do-it-yourself framing, we do all the difficult parts, such as cutting your mat, backing, glass and frame. We join your wood frame for you. Then we show you how to assemble these materials using our work tables and tools to complete your project.

Do-it-yourself projects can usually be done in one visit provided we have the materials you've chosen in stock. Mats and metal frames can be cut in a matter of minutes. Wood frame projects take longer as we have to chop, glue and V-nail the corners.

On busy days, we may ask you to give us an hour to get your materials ready prior to assembly. If we need to order your materials we can arrange to have everything cut and joined for you to come back and assemble within a few days.

Once the design is completed and the order written, we cut the frame and, if it is a wood frame, join it for you. While the frame is being joined, we also cut your glass, mats and backing.
