Just bring us the photo (or the size of the photo or a place-holder photo) that you want to use, and we'll cut a mat with a wide border to accomodate the number of messages you expect as will a small V-groove around the photo window. Then we'll cover the photo with ultraviolet protecting acrylic or glass to cover it during the signing process, and insert it in the frame under the mat. The frame will keep signatures inside the signable area..

When your event is over, bring the framed mat back to us and we'll put the acrylic on top of the mat and finish the back for you while you wait. Now you have a personalized treasure to remember for a lifetime!

With the new engravable metal signature mat, your guests can permanently etch their signatures onto a silver alloy surface using an engraving pen.

Each mat and frame includes a Signature Engraving Pen, a polishing cloth, and a 5-by-7-inch guest instruction card. The mat would make a great wedding gift, and we have a beautifully framed example in our shop.

Celtic Wedding Invitation

This wedding invitation was decorated with a Celtic Knot motif so we chose a silver leafed frame with a linking pattern and repeated the reddish-brown undertone of the frame in the hand-wrapped silk mat, along with a golden silk undermat.

This unusual wedding invitation was designed by the bride and groom to blend together the flags and national colors from their two native countries, Brazil and the United States. They wanted something unconventional, eye catching and decorative to frame their innovative design.

A metallic silver top mat was selected with a dark blue under mat for the two rectangular openings. A heart shape was cut into the mat to outline the design of the invitation. On each side of the mat is a scroll work cut out with a hand painted water color wash beneath, showing a gradient blend of the national colors. The frame itself is a glittering midnight blue.

Wedding Invitation With Three Opening Mat

The bride chose a casual wedding party photograph for this framed wedding momento using a sepia toned snap shot of the wedding party. We chose a brown matting to complement the phogograph and ink color, along with a gerometic Italian import Roma Moulding Baso series silver leaf frame with a burnished brown base. The top circular opening holds the solar wedding emblem from the envelope, which is seen again with its lunar counterpart in the invitation itself.

Wedding Invitation with White Ribbon

The ribbon on this invitation made it quite three dimensional. We used a triple layer mat: The top layer mat is a hand-wrapped white silk, elevated to allow room for the depth of the bow. Below that is a reddish brown silk mat and beneath that is a bright white acid free mat. The frame is by Larson Juhl in European Silver.

Hand-Made Paper Invitation

This lovely wedding invitation is made of hand-made paper with an actual blue died leaf embedded in the fibers and caligraphy with blue ink. We've floated it on a blue silk backing without a mat but with spacers to support the glass away from the delicate paper.

KETUBAH FRAMING

This hand painted Ketubah, owned by Afikomen Celebrations, is framed using a Larson-Juhl water guilded gold leaf frame. It is matted with a raw silk hand wrapped mat, a gold leaf fillet, a deep maroon silk hand wrapped inner mat, and a final inside mat of deep blue Alpharag board. It is glazed with Tru-Vue Museum Glass.

Hand-Painted Ketubah with Arch Matting

This enchanting ketubah is a hand-painted watercolor of an abundant natural paradise. We've framed it simply but elegantly in a white acid free mat with an arch to match the Ketubah, and a simple balck frame.

Ketubah with Hand-Painted Floral Pattern

This ketubah is a hand written piece of deckeled edged paper floated on a hand painted watercolor with a poppy theme. The ketubah is floated on the watercolor, which is then matted with an acid free white mat and framed with a decorative gold frame.

When you frame a diploma, you recognize a tremendous achievement. A framed diploma is the ideal gift to present at a graduation party. When you honor such hard work, consider adding the graduation tassle. This New York University diploma and honors tassel were framed using a deep purple suede-lined well for the tassel and a matching NYU purple suede inside mat on the diploma. These mats were topped with cream rag board and framed using a deep gold shadowbox frame with a small gold beaded lip. The project was glazed with ultraviolet filtering glass to protect the diploma.

This acid-free white signature mat and ready made frame was created for the 25th Anniversary of Brew Pubs at an event attended by dignitaries of the City of Berkeley. We cut signature mats with a V-Groove around the center opening of the mat to help keep signatures away from the matted photo or certificate. We also install the glass under the mat and over the art or certificate so that the art is protected from handling during the event. After the event, the frame is brought back to us, and we simply install the glass over the mat for permanent protection of the entire piece. All signature mats should be covered with UV glass to protect the art and the signatures from fading. We use Tru-Vue Conservation Clear glass for this purpose.
